11 Unique Cities

Friesland's eleven cities are world-famous. This is because of their historical significance and, of course, the Eleven Cities Tour. Every town, no matter how big or small, has its own charm. Stroll through old streets, admire the often beautiful buildings or drive the 11 cities route by car.

In 2018, Leeuwarden was European Capital of Culture. A unique water work was then designed for each city of the Eleven Cities Tour by several international artists. Fog, ice, steam, seawater...
